Ketua Polis Negara Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar mengucapkan tahniah kepada pasukan Ops Cantas yang berjaya menahan 13 lagi suspek termasuk dua wanita dipercayai pengikut kumpulan ajaran sesat 'Tuhan Harun' yang diketuai Harun Mat Saat.
Dalam laman twitternya, beliau berkata, siasatan kes tembak Ketua Penolong Penguatkuasa Jabatan Agama Islam Pahang(JAIP), Ahmad Raffli Abd Malek, 47, 10 November lalu dijangka dapat diselesaikan dengan penahanan terbaru hasil Ops Cantas dilancarkan Bukit Aman itu.
Police solve murder of Jaip enforcement head, 13 arrested
PETALING JAYA: Police have solved the murder of Pahang Islamic Religious Department (Jaip) enforcement head Ahmad Rafi Abdul Malek with the arrests of 13 people, including two women.
In a tweet, IGP Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the 13 suspects were arrested Friday night after an operation conducted by the police.
He congratulated Team Cantas Baman for solving the involving the murder of Ahmad Rafi. "It’s a proud achievement by the police. Congratulations to them again," he said in another tweet.
Ahmad Rafli, 49, was shot dead at point blank range at his house in Indera Mahkota 2 in Kuantan.
Members of the Tuhan Harun sect were believe to be behind the killing, which was described as an assassination.
Sources revealed that the case is considered close and a statement will be issued by Bukit Aman Saturday ~ The Star
