Penang Shall Always Remember the Father of Modern Penang (Video Inside)

"Penang Shall Always Remember the Father of Modern Penang" is the condolence message written by CM Lim Guan Eng in the orbituary book for Tun Dato' Seri Utama Dr Lim Chong Eu.

CM Lim who just touched down at the Bayan Lepas airport rushed to Tun Lim's house in Tanjung Bungah to pay his respect and also to offer his condolences to Tun's family. CM Lim was seen offering words of comfort to Lim Chien Aun who is Tun Lim's eldest son and other family members.


CM Lim announced the funeral arrangements and the time for public to pay their last respect to Tun Lim. At 11 am on Friday 26 November, 2010, the cortege will leave Tun's house for Dewan Sri Pinang. From 2 pm to 5pm, the public can pay their respect. Meanwhile, on Saturday, the time for public to pay their last respect is 10 am to 5pm.

The funeral is on Sunday and the funeral procession will go through several roads in Penang before going to Batu Gantung crematorium.
